The UK Rock Challenge® is a national performing arts initiative for schools, colleges and youth groups that promotes a healthy lifestyle message. Students between the ages of 7 and 18 create a 5-8 minute dance and drama performance about a theme of their choice, which they then perform at a professional venue in front of a panel of expert judges.

The event is produced and facilitated by the Be Your Best Foundation. Rock Challenge® continues to grow every year from staging one event in 1996 to 51 events in 2018, in 17 local authority areas across the UK involving over 300 schools and 21,000 young people.

Like the Rock Challenge®, RSL believes that dance should be accessible for everyone and provide a form of recognition through examinations and awards. RSL's Performance Arts Awards (PAA) offers the opportunity for candidates to earn a recognised and quality-assured award whilst doing something they enjoy.
